Maritime Asset Management

Maritime Asset Management ("MAM") has the expertise to (i) plan and develop investment structures, either as standalone special purpose vehicles or shipping funds, and (ii) manage such structures as asset manager. The Group may invest in such structures with stakes ranging from 100% to a minority ownership. While Uni-Asia Shipping focuses on handy size bulk carrier, MAM's investment and asset management portfolio includes dry bulk carriers, containerships, and product tanker.

Utilising our knowhow and network of shipping contacts, MAM also provide structured finance solutions to our clients, including arrangement of tax oriented lease solutions.

The services provided by MAM are as follows:

  • Structuring of ship investment vehicles and investment management of ships under such vehicles;
  • Management and administration of investment vehicles; and
  • Finance arrangement solutions including arrangement of tax oriented lease.

Other than wholly-owned investment structures, MAM also co-invest with our investment partners. By investing co-investing, the Group is able to enjoy investment returns and at the same time receive fees from administering and managing these investments.
